The Nokia 701 came as an enhanced version of the Nokia C7, with an improved OS, enhanced screen and a swifter processor. It provides amazing graphics performance, an upgraded user interface, excellent battery life and the world’s brightest screen. The Nokia 701 runs on Symbian Belle and a 1GHz processor, approximately twice as fast as the previous model had.
The excellent design of the Nokia 701 measures 4.61 x 2.23 x 0.43 inches (117.2 x 56.8 x 11 mm), and weighs 4.62 oz (131 grams). This cell phone contains a 3.5-inch (~210 ppi pixel density) LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive touch screen that adds to the physical look of the handset. Nokia states that this is the brightest smartphone screen in the world, integrating ClearBlack technology with an IPS TFT display and a Gorilla Glass coating.
The Nokia 701 also has an 8 mega-pixel camera with 3264×2448 pixels image resolution. Fixed focus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging and face detection are only a few features of the camera. What’s more, you can easily make and take video calls, as well as record videos. Of course, the phone also features GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5G support and WiFi connectivity, and an integrated support for Near Field Communication (NFC) connections. Thanks to the storage capacity of 8 GB and 512 MB RAM & 1 GB ROM internal memory, the Nokia 701 is perfectly suited for storing personal data. Additionally, the cell phone contains memory card slot for external memory card up to 32GB.
